Mónica Arca Pérez
General Health Psychologist
Collegiate No B-02760
From a young age, I was drawn to psychology, which led me to pursue my studies in this field at the University of the Balearic Islands, particularly drawn to its clinical aspect. My passion for understanding and aiding mental health motivated me to further my education with a Master’s degree in General Health Psychology.
My professional journey began at the Gaspar Hauser autism center, a pivotal experience that ignited my interest in autism. This newfound passion encouraged me to delve deeper into this area through a Master’s in Autism Spectrum Disorders at UNED. Eager to stay at the forefront of the field, I expanded my expertise in evidence-based treatments, including the Denver model and ImPACT, and explored augmentative and alternative communication systems (SAACs) leveraging technology, such as dynamic communicators on tablets.
After my tenure at the Gaspar Hauser center, I transitioned to an Early Intervention center, where I currently work alongside managing a private practice. To enrich my expertise in child and adolescent psychology, I completed a Master’s in Learning Difficulties and Language Disorders at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).
My dedication to my profession drives my commitment to continuous learning, keeping abreast of cutting-edge techniques and treatments. I believe in treating each individual as unique, deserving of personalized and adaptive treatment plans to meet their specific needs and pace.
