Online therapy is comparable to face-to-face therapy and has the same phases, which you can find in Frequently Asked Questions.
Who is it for?
It is indicated for those people who prefer it due to time constraints or comfort or for those who, due to personal difficulties (place of residence, advanced age, transport problems, medical problems, physical disability…), are unable to go to a consultation in person.
How is it done?
First, we will make an appointment. You have to pay the amount of the session by bank transfer, or another method of payment previously agreed, and then send the voucher to the email. It will be necessary to install the video call program if you do not have it and check its operation, to attend the day of the visit as if it were a face-to-face appointment. At the end of the online session, the tasks to be carried out for the next session will be organized, and the material that in a face-to-face session would be given on paper, will be sent by e-mail.
Recommendations:
- We recommend the use of headphones with a microphone because helps the conversation to have less short and loud sounds; in this way, we will hear each other better and the conversation will be more fluid.
- It is important to have a good quality Internet connection to be able to carry out the session without interruptions and it is convenient to check this before the session.
- It is convenient to have a webcam that allows us to see ourselves, since non-verbal language is important in a therapeutic process.
- It is also essential to be in a room alone to avoid distractions.
Important: It is strictly forbidden to record and/or distribute the session.
