It is characterized by a persistent pattern of defiant, hostile, and disobedient behavior toward authority figures, such as parents, teachers, or other authority figures. This behavior goes beyond the typical rebellious behaviors seen in childhood and can significantly interfere with an individual's social, academic, and family functioning. The characteristics of oppositional defiant disorder can be grouped into three categories: Anger/irritability: Frequently loses his coolIs often susceptible or easily upsetIs often angry and resentful Arguments/Defiant Attitude: Many times, argues with authority or

          05
          Apr

Childhood disintegrative disorder

What is Childhood Disintegrative Disorder? In other words, children initially demonstrate age-appropriate development, but after the onset of the disorder, this development is interrupted, or there is a regression of already acquired skills. Attachment is an affective bond that is established from the first moments of life between the mother and the newborn or the person in charge of her care. Its function is to ensure care, psychological development and personality formation. The establishment of infant attachment is mainly related to two systems: the exploratory system, which allows the infant to contact the physical environment through the senses; and the affiliative system, through which babies contact other people. How is it created? John Bowlby, a British psychologist, was the one who developed Attachment Theory. Punishment has been widely used to modify children's behaviour throughout history. Its use reduces the possibility that the child will repeat the inappropriate behaviour. There are different types of punishment based on removing a stimulus that is pleasant for the child (for example, not letting him/her watch television for a while) or applying an aversive stimulus (for example, a slap or a verbal reprimand) when he/she performs a maladaptive or inappropriate behaviour. In recent years, the use of this strategy, especially when it causes aversive consequences for the child, has been under debate within general child psychology,

          20
          Mar

DETHRONED PRINCE SYNDROME, THE ARRIVAL OF A NEW BROTHER

What is Dethroned Prince Syndrome?
